WOW I am done.

WOW i just sowed my last seeds. At least until the round robin that I am gets finished or I find more seeds calling my name at the stores. Though I have checked each one out at least 20 r so times to "make sure" there are no seeds I just have to have is there waiting for me.

This is weird is to be done. So far I have sowed 291 jugs. And I have at least 90 jugs already showing green.

And I found some toad lilies at walmart near me. They had 3 bulbs for $5.00 so I grabbed a bag. And Lowes had some trillium they said they were safe not wild gathered which is good. And also I found a dutchaman breeches bulb I wasn't sure the two I got last year had made it through but they did and are starting to pop up. So I will be busy planting some bulbs tomorrow. And getting the new bed ready as well.

    Congrats.

I may be done just out of laziness. I do have lots of veggie seeds left though. I do not want to have to cover them so I might sow those late April.

Paula, 291 jugs! Way to go! I think you may qualify for compulsive winter-sowing disorder. "The bed"? You're going to fit all those plants into one bed?

I have 88 containers, and plan to sow about 2 dozen more. The last will be sown in styrofoam 'Cup-o-noodles' cups, the heat-loving stuff like veggies, herbs, and a few more annuals.

My modest goal is to make it into the mile high club. :)

I currently have no plans to wintersow anything else either. With our daytime temps in the mid to upper 70s the next week or so, I might just sow uncovered in cups rather than risk frying any seedlings. I did sow more nicotiana this weekend since something seems to be eating all mine. I barely have the gumption today to plant out what is already sprouting.

I'd say I'm about 2/3 done. Still have the gagillion Zinnias to do, and nearly all the veggies waiting for later.

I am happy to say that I am also done sowing.
    Now begins planting out.
    Well...in a couple of weeks.
In my area Mother's Day is the planting out day, but I doubt if I can wait that long. I will probably wait until May 1st, and be ready with my ground covers to dash out to the garden and cover up if a frost is expected.

I'm done sowing as well. Under normal circumstances I would probably re-sow a few things. I don't think my Sweet Peas made it, the huge seeds are covered in white crap, none of my marigolds have shown up yet... I just don't have it in me this year. I'm too busy worrying about how I'm going to get the new beds dug up! It's right in front of my patio, where kids have been stomping on it for years! I've also been thinking about all those slugs and other no-see 'ems that might be creeping about!!

I think I am done, key word "think". I have wintersown close to 200 containers, I lost count along the way. Now it's time to get the beds ready for the little one's and re-fence the veggie bed. That is until another pack of seeds strikes my fancy, it could happen.....

Not anywhere near done here yet. 327 containers out and still have more marigolds to put out

left to sow in the next 2 weeks are

    easter egg plant
    cukes
    zucchini
    portulacca
    alyssum
    sunflowers

And I'm sure I missed something on the list to WS

They all will be done before May 1st.

    Paula,
Lucky you on finding those bulbs.
Our greenhouses haven't even opened up yet :-(
A friend at work however gave me 3 Elephant Ears
to plant! Not today it has been raining since
    last night! soggy out there.

    Terrene,
What is the Mile High Club?

I cannot imagine those of you with over 100 jugs!
I thought 50 + was alot! I am not looking forward
to planting out, even though I got a little rolling
    seat for my garden work.

Not done, just order more seeds today from WaterSunTogether.com They had some things that were just too adorable to pass up and everything is so cheap. Plus I was needing cucumber seeds and green beans. Shipping is free if you order 10 packs. I did limit myself to only 10 packs. But hey my total jugs will still be way below 100, I think after planted these I will be in the 30-40 range. I don't know how you guys with 100+ do it.

Yes I was very lucky to find the trillium bulbs.
I just counted how many of my jugs have sprouted so far and the up to date number is 118. My last freeze date is also mothers day. So I will wait on most of them then. But the new bed is just that. I have spots in the regular bed for mostly annuals and then also fill some holes with perennials. I have been going bqack and fourth about taking out the hollyhocks they make me itch something fierce (I think that is spelled wrong).

But thankfully most of my jugs are half gallon milk jugs so not as many plants as in a full gallon.

There is another version of the Mile High Club that has nothing to do with plants.........

I also think I just might be done. There are still some seeds in the box I wanted to try but, think I've bitten off more than I can chew!! I have about 160 jugs half are sprouted. Think I might plant out early usually wait till memorial day. I'd also forgoten some bulbs I bought this thread reminded me of them.

so much to do lol Annette
