Are the two strips of stone along the glass doors raised to keep the water in the shower. Does this idea work better and less expensive than the Quick Drain USA. I plan on an opening of two and a half feet for the shower entrance and no door. Is the method here an alternative to a floor pan. Thank you for any ideas or suggestions.

What you are seeing is actually a base/curb with marble threshold. The angle of the photo makes it appear to be a zero clearance threshold but that is not the case.
