Hello, new to this site so am not sure if this is the appropriate place to post. Just bought a house that is currently under construction and we are heading into the design meetings with tons of options. Wanted to get feedback on what are worthwhile investments. Some of the options we are struggling with are:

- Security system. The security system they are offering costs an arm and a leg. Should we invest in upgrading this so that everything is hardwired or should we upgarde after the fact?

- Push button garbage disposal switch- Do these go bad in the long run or is it better to get a standard switch?
