At 11' wide, yes, you can go round. Typical round table is 54" to 60" in diameter, which seats 6-8, and ideally, allow 36" for the chair (and traffic) on all sides, so 11' is just right!

If you want a buffet or a console, I would do it on one of the short end walls, so you don't impede on the proper clearance around the table. (so buffet comes out of the 14' length of the room, ideally)

YES!!! I have a 54" round table in an 11 1/2' by 13 1/2' dining room. I do have a buffet on the longer wall, it's the only solid wall in the room. One shorter wall is a floor to ceiling windows with plantation shutters, the other short wall is the opening into the kitchen and has built in corner cabinets on either side, the other long wall has a double with opening into the formal living room. I put my chairs at 2, 4, 8 and 10 o'clock postions. Good luck!

Thanks so much for your input. I found a table by brownstone. Siena that is 56" round. Will it look lost in my space. Thanks
