Something so simple can usually be built by a custom cabinet guy or yourself depending on how much of DIY person you are. Sometimes, you can find pieces of furniture at your local furniture store that you can modify a bit and get the same look (depending on width, height, and depth). Just keep in mind that as nice as this looks in the picture, that more than likely you will see a p-trap/supply lines...depending on where there current locations are. As for the height, I always take into consideration the height of the vessel you will be using and put it at a user friendly height. So the top of the vessel doesn't exceed 36" (unless you have an unusually tall household). Typically if it is a veneer top or solid wood, I would go to you local glass store and have a piece of 1/8" or 1/4" glass cut to fit the size of the top with a hole drilled in the middle. You will have to provide them the specs or even just take them the vessel so they know what they are working with. This way the veneer will not delaminate or the wood warp. I think you will find that is a bit of work, but in the end it's definitely worth it!

I put a vanity table in my powder room which I bought from an antique shop for $20. I touched cleaned it and added a coat of stain to refresh the finish and polyurethaned the whole thing Then I added about 4 more coats of poly to the top for protection sanding lightly between coats. I used a drill bit hole cutter (not sure what the name is) to cut the hole using the dimensions from the sink drain pipe. I purchased a fancy drain pipe and p-trap (from ebay-search vessel sinks). i purchased the sink first to know the height which determined the height of the table I needed to look for. Mine is 30" and my sink height is 6". I did the same for the faucet.
