I have a lavendar lady lilac (5 gallon can) that's been in the ground about a month. It has looked very healthy, but today I noticed that there are some brown blotches on some of the leaves, and some of the new growth has become distorted.

My thoughts are that either I'm overwatering or there was water left on the leaves on Saturday (a very sunny day in my area). The other idea I've had mentioned to me is "sunburn", since as I said we had a couple of hot, sunny days recently.

Any ideas what this might be?

Thanks very much.
