Cary is pretty hazy and you can smell it. I was on the outer banks last weekend and it got mighty scary a few times. I just worry about how much poison ivy is in that smoke - it sure gave me a headache and sore throat while driving out on Hwy 12.

We're hazy here but not sure if it's smoke or weather related. WISH it was weather/rain related. Getting pretty dry.

I noticed the smoke smell last night while watering before they said anything about it coming our way. I was paranoid- checking the A/C unit & car looking forth source! :)

Never thought about PO oils in the smoke- but that's a really scary thought. I'd hope it wouldn't be able to go so far.

We just had about an inch and a half of rain north of Greensboro, and it cleared the air as well as watered my plants. The rain was spotty, however, as a friend two miles from me did not get a drop!

I didn't think about the smoke containing PO either. That is scary. It was really bad here yesterday, not at all today.

The air is downright heavy. Not a drop of rain here either. It's so dry that I'm not even bothering with planting anything I have in pots. I'm just disgusted with it all right now. Hoping that it'll break this fall and I can do a late garden.
