If you pruned them after flowering, then you would have cut off your future berries if there were any. I don't have berries on my American holly trees this year because the late freeze last spring pruned them for me.

we didn't have many this year, either. it was probably the freeze since we don't prune ours.

My Savannah hollies have berries this year. I have not checked my American hollies yet.

I didn't have a single berry this year either and I also have to place blame on the late frost... I remember that all my hollies were in full bloom, in fact loaded with blooms and bees and then ZAP!!!! In a frosty 3 day stretch those blooms browned and then just vanished... and so did this years crop of berries.
