I would wait until after the next few nights freezes and then put them in the ground. If they are completely hardened off and can handle a frost then I would go ahead and plant half of them and hold on to the second half as a backup.

They need the cold to signal them to bloom but too much cold and they just melt away. They are definitely big enough to set buds and bloom.
