Forgive me for opening up a can of worms, but if you haven't placed your order yet there are at least two great discussions here on Houzz examining the benefits of Super White or Versailles granite over marble. If you already wrote the check, I personally like the honed finish, you get less glare from the windows.

Thank you for your input. It helped

Absolutely love Carrara although it is very high maintenance. I would definitely go polished and be sure to seal regularly...honed would act like a sponge!

I beg to disagree. I think a honed marble with a sealer would be as stain resistant as the polished marble with a sealer. I would love to see a discussion about it. I have a large honed marble table, and I never sealed it . It is spotless and pristine, and I raised four kids with it. No water rings, or any marks of any kind. Of course, you'd want to seal any marble in a kitchen area.
