Hi. I am relatively new to the Carolinas and will be planting my first bulbs this year. I have done some research, but still wanted some advice.

I placed an order at Brent and Becky's bulbs, for tulips and daffodils. It is my understanding that daffodils don't need to be prechilled. Is this true?

Regarding the tulips, I ordered some species ones and some appledorn ones. I know that these need to be prechilled. The problem is my processing date isn't until October 30, so by the time I get them, if I am to chill them, they won't get in the ground until mid-January. Will this be okay or should I try to have my processing date moved up?
