Evergreen hedge?

I am posting here because I am dead stuck and hoping someone can help me. I live in zone 4 and need to plant a long hedge along the side of my road (about 120 feet). It must be: evergreen, no bright or poisonous berries (i.e. yew), and preferably not a deer-magnet (i.e. arborvitae), though that is less important than the other two--and the fact that it has to be hardy in zone 4 (i.e. not boxwood or leyland cypress). Ideally I'd like it to keep it at a height of about 6 feet and would like it to grow nice and dense and relatively uniform. Doesn't have to be formal, a "natural" hedgerow look is fine, but not wider than 5 feet. Any thoughts? I'd be so grateful...
