That smokey purple colored tree to the right inspires me to consider a light plum with grey trim and a black door. If you add shutters, do them in charcoal grey.

A few questions I think about when I'm contemplating color choice.... (I'm trying to figure out a door color for my house right now).... If you contrast the house color with the smokey tree color, the tree will show up more (e.g. light grey), if you chose a similar color to the tree, the tree will show up less. So, if you want your plantings to show up, make the house color a back drop in front of which the plants can be readily seen. If your plantings are to all be changed out, start with what you want to say with your house color. There are lots of stately greys with heft if you want traditional and your husband wants color and you want the greens of the plantings and the white of the windows and fence to stand out. Because you have already gone with windows that are white, I guess it would make sense to stick with the fence in white, and go with something that will make the contrast pleasing to your sensibilities. If you want the windows to recede, then stick with white for house color. If you want the whites to pop, go with more solid colors or darker. The house itself is symmetrical, so perhaps you will want a traditional color palette to stick with the symmetry of the house? Or, if you want to surprise the viewer, then go with less traditional. Do you want your house to fit into a neighborhood palette, or stand out? Those are some questions I would try to sort out the answers to before settling on a specific color...
