Moving in four weeks and have a two week period to make changes to the house. We are focusing our changes to the Kitchen. We don't really care for the raw stone so we are looking for ideas. Our decorator said maybe we can paint the stones with a white-wash color. (stones are decoration and do not seem be supporting the structure) We also do not like the iron door to the pantry so plan to just remove it. We are also thinking of painting the cabinets a lighter color but its hard to witht the travertine floors. We are also thinking of changing the backsplash. We are planning to update the lights with modern pendants (I like silver/chrome) and remove the ceiling fan over the breakfast table and replace with a modernish chandelier.

I also attached a picture of the family room leading into the Kitchen. Again, we do not like the raw stone and would like to change it. We will change the ceiling fan to something more modern maybe paint the fireplace. We have a big RH antique mirror to put above the fireplace (5x+ the size the one in the picture).
