That setup will work but with access to your whole property it will get old looking at the screened effect. No I don't have any other alternatives for you. If your property was fenced ...yes I can show you how to keep them out permanently. A chain link alone won't do it.

With deep snow and their food source cut off here they come to feed late evening and all through the night. A 177 cal. with scope is the only answer for removal if you don't protect. It's not a total loss as I recycle them over the fence and a pair of Red Foxes always show up during the night for their meal.

If you look closely you can see a fine wire mesh attached to the chain link from ground level up to 24 inches. I did this 3 years ago. Never any Rabbits since unless the gate is left open. Then they again become dinner for who ever is hungry outside my property line.

Yeah i quess youôre right Dave. Fence like that propably is the only solution that really works for them, but i would need hundrets of meters of it. Maby some day.
