First, dig the new holes and have them ready so that the old root balls don't dry out waiting.

Second, dig out the old palms, saving as much of the root structure as possible.

Third, put the palms in the new holes and shove a hose underneath, filling the hole with water to get out any air bubbles that may be trapped.

Water them every day for the first two weeks unless it rains and then three times a week for the next month. Don't fertilize during the first two months.
