I have allot of butterfly ginger, it's flowering well right now. I didn't know you could grow it in water, hmm I might have to try that. I've tried elephant ear/taro in water but it died.

so far it seems to be doing just fine. It's still gotten blown over in the wind a few times. I have a couple of black magic elephant ears in the pond, too.

That ginger kept blowing over, so I pulled it out and repotted and divided it. I now have six gallon pots of white butterfly ginger. It's not bloomed, but it looks really pretty and lush. I guess I'll put one piece back in the pond and see if it overwinters there.
