Source for free 55 gallon drum?

I am hoping to get a free or really cheap 55 gallon drum for a rain barrel. Any suggestions of businesses I could call- I am in Augusta, but any ideas are appreciated.

I saw this ad on Craig's list a couple of days ago.
It's in gainesville. Not sure if that's too far for you.

I am in need of 12 55 gallon plastic barrels for the Rainforest Indians "Free" in the Maryland area.

Try contacting Coca Cola ombudsman. Coca Cola recycles their plastic drums, but do sell some and provide some free for community events. I have bought some from them quite cheaply a couple of years back. Another source would be pickle packaging plants. The last barrels I got were black, came from India, filled w/ pickles. I got mine from a gentleman that re-sells them through Craigslist for $20 each. Good luck!

I have dozens of 55 gallon steel drums with lids that are extremely clean for free. They contained silicone, which is highly inert translucent material.
