I was just outside taking some photos of my garden and kids in Loganville, GA (Walton Co) ....when I heard the thunder coming from Gwinnett...even "smells" like rain outside! Keep fingers crossed!!

I'm getting some pretty steady drizzle.

    Well, it's better than nothing.

Jmarks74...how much rain did Loganville get? I went to Atlanta last night and I was surprised to see the ground still wet when I came back around midnight.
I wish I was here to see it...

Still nothing here. It hasn't rained here since before memorial day. And even that was nothing. Other parts of the area are getting rain but the storms fade away or make a sharp turn before they get here. What's up with that, mother nature?

It has looked like and even sounded like we were finally getting some rain here in Marietta several times this month and still,, nothing! I think I have had 10 drops of water fall from the sky in 30 days now at my home, while it has rained within a mile or two of me a couple different times so far.

Buford, I'm glad you got a steady rain because all we got in Sugar Hill were sprinkles. The shower was so localized that sprinkles fell on half my yard, but not the other half. Half my roof was wet, a quarter of my deck was wet, and half the flower beds were wet - barely wet. Today the plants in the parts that got sprinkles aren't as wilted as the plants that didn't get sprinkled on, so I guess even that little bit helped.

Nevermind the rain, you can grill a hamburger on the sidewalk.

RAIN!!!!!! We have had over an inch of it so far tonight!!!!! Yeah!!!!! I even went out and danced in it with my glass of wine!

Got mine! But I don't think it was an inch. Hopefully we'll get more tomorrow. Oh, happy day!

Maybe 1/4 inch so far and still coming down gently. Thank goodness for that much. My field was crunching as I walked around it this morning, and leaves on some trees were hanging already tiredly before the sun was fully up.

It poured buckets Friday! Thunderstorm today and yesterday...gave us steady rain in Loganville.

sugarhill - did you get more rain later? We took a trip to Brewsters last night (love that Turtle) and it looked like it had rained there (Suwanee) so you should have had some.

It is frustrating when you hear thunder and see it on the radar and nothing happens. I think we got about 1/2 inch last evening/night. I put all my potted plants out and pails and buckets.

The only down side is that it seems that every weed in my garden has woken up. At least I don't have to drag hoses and sprinklers around today.

Saturday it is forcasted to be a 40% chance this afternoon.....50% tonight. Looks like rain through Monday. Once I log onto my computer...I usually pull up a dopppler radar. Yesterday, I had it running on a continuous refreshing loop all day. I use NOAA radar. Right now....it is showing nothing. It did the same thing yesterday ...then BOOM and explosion of green, yellow, orange and red popped up.

Here is a link that might be useful: NOAA RADAR (turn topo off)
