My husband used one of those broadcast spreaders to put fertilizer on the lawn. Immediately after he watered the lawn. The next morning I go out to enjoy a cup of coffee. WHAT do I see? My purple Homestead Verbenas were dying!!Most of the blooms had wilted and fallen off. I sat scratching my head. As I leaned in for the closer inspection. I saw what had happened. The fertilizer he used had a weed killer in it. He "broadcasted right into my Purple Homestead Verbena beds!!!! $@#$!& Needless to say I am upset!

They are wilting...not dead (yet) they look like they are "tired." The blooms are gone. One bed it almost a year old. The other is less than 3 months. They were all blooming profusely and doing well.

Is this hopeless? Is there a way to fix it? Appreciate any advice.
