Really really good seal?

Some of the pints of broth I have done in two recent, but separate batches in my pressure canner end up with such a tight seal, that after I break the seal on the lid, I still have to rip (I mean pull really hard!)the lid off the jar, that gaskety goo has melded to the top of the jar, and I literally have to tear it to remove the lid. Sometimes the gaskety stuff (I don't know what it is called) rips off the lid and stays stuck to the rim of the jar. Sometimes I have to pull so hard to get the lid free that it bends and twists!

Is that as weird as I think it is? I am used to popping the seal and the lid just coming right off, in one delightful piece, with all the rubbery stuff staying on the lid.
