Accidentally sprayed mint with roundup

Hi all,

My wife accidentally sprayed a few shoots of my mint plant with roundup. I don't plan on consuming the sprayed shoots (i am going to pluck them out of the ground) but is it safe to consume the other shoots? Should I wait for the plant to die then consume what survived?

Thanks,

MT

I don't know about toxicity, But roundup probably won't kill the mint with a one time light spray. Mints are very hard to get rid off.

There is a wealth of information regarding the breakdown of glyphosphate that is worthwhile reading. You have to determine your comfort level with consuming the surviving mint. I agree with the posting above that the mint will not be killed off easily. Personally, I would wait a few weeks for using the mint for my use.
