Is it getting enough sunlight ?

If you've been getting a lot of rain it could just be putting out a bunch of new growth and will flower when it dries out a bit.

One of mine is flowering but not the other. They flower on new growth so pruning it would cause new growth and flowers. Oddly, the one blooming is in shade.

Make sure there is no light source like a street light or porch light shining on it at night. They need pitch black nights to develop the night blooming flowers. Some plants are very sensitive that way, others not so much. One of mine flowered the other did not until I cut off the automatic porch light. It may have been coincidence, I don't know, just saying what worked.

I keep mine as a large shrub, and prune them very hard when they get too big. I've even taken them down to bare sticks. They flower profusely about two months after I do this.

Now what in the heck is out there eating the leaves, that I never see morning, afternoon, or night, drives me crazy! It gobbles them up and has to be huge, leaves lots of poop like a tomato hornworm does, but I still can't find it. I've been using imidacloprid on them and it works, but I worry that I'll kill any night feeding moths by doing it. On the other plus side, the black ants don't farm aphids on them anymore either.

My parents live in panhandle Florida area and they have several of these. They generally bloom end of July until frost for them. It gets full sun and plenty of water. Hope that helps. The perfume is overwhelming at times and my mother likes to bring blooming branches in the house which perfumes the whole room for days!

Well, this is just not to be. I started trimming this bush (which also is getting the heck eaten out of it by something), when a redbird flew out. I found a nest with two babies in it. I took some pics that I'll try to post. Oh well, I'd rather not bother them than deal with a non- blooming bush. Plus it's fun watching Mom fly in and out with food for her babies.

I have a sister who lives in southern California who has 2 NBJs, one on the south and the other on the west facing side of the house. The bushes look like they've gone through hell and back (leaves are tiny, yellow, barely surviving) but miraculously the bush located on the south side which gets all day full sun is loaded with blossoms because of the blast of sunlight (including morning sun) it receives. The west facing bush has blossoms but so much. Here's pics of the south facing NBJ.

I have 2 night blooming jasmines. One I bought at Lowes and the other at a plant fair from a nursery in Naples. Both bloomed but the flowers had absolutely no perfume. I I don't know why. It's very strange.

Got mine at Lowe's to. I cut branches off. Put them in water. They got roots on them. Planted them. Just as big as the 15 plants that I got at Lowe's. Think something wrong. $15. A plant. 5 ' high never blamed ???????

I have an ivy wall and I want to replace with Jasmine but with one that does not bloom. Is there a no-fragrance Jasmine plant - I guess that means non blooming.

Catherine, I dont know about a no bloom jasmine. Confederate jasmine is evergreen in zone 8b FL and only blooms in the spring for me in N FL. It isnt really overpowering and can cover a large trellis easily. There is a variegated version as well.

I am wondering why you want a jasmine if it doesnt bloom? There is a yellow flowered jasmine , Jasmine Nudiflorum, that is supposed to be unscented and grows to 12ft. I havent grown that one so I cant comment anything specific about it.
