Where did you get your seeds? Um, some peppermint seeds are sterile, and it would seem to me that a company offering those seeds is somewhat questionable. Plus, sometimes they don't breed true. Mint is one of those that, being so cheap, you might as well just buy one plant and soon you will have a yardfull.

I got the seeds from an Ace Hardwear store. I cannot remember the brand name and I have seemed to misplaced the package. But I think I'll try getting a plant and try that. Thank you

I take the lazy way. When I want to add a new strain of mint to my garden, I go to my local nursery and they also have a huge supply of new seedlings and so many different strains. The newest this year was Orange Mint. It joins, spearmint, peppermint, Kentucky Colonel Mint, chocolate mint, lime mint and pineapple mint.

I plant it directly in the ground and with little care it just seems to flourish. I love seeing mint all around my garden, as long as it's not interfering with the growth of other in-ground plants, which seems to be successful so far after a couple of years. It has, of course, "popped up" in other areas of the garden, but not places of concern. I just let it be and do its thing. It seems to love wherever I plant it.

The KC mint is so excellent. I used it in a chiffonade in a salad of mixed greens this weekend, not too much as to overpower as KC mint can be quite strong, and it was a delcious addition!
