I have a lavandula intermedia that looks like that.

If it is, there are a few varieties and they all flower.

"Lavandula x intermedia old english group" has light lavender blue flowers.

"Lavandula x intermedia seal" has mid-purple flowers

Thanks JAke I'm sure it doesnt make it easy that its not in bloom. Is lavandula intermedia considered munstead, provence, english? After reading so much on it I'm more confused then when I started. Just curious where I should plant.
I have another mystery lavender that was planted in my garden(2yr old) that bloomed nice but after a shear (leaving 2-3 inches of green on) parts are dying.Maybe I pruned too early? heres a pic of the other lavender Some plants in the same garden leaves are reddish Does this mean too much sun? I dont think I gave it a fresh mulch layer this year.(I used black mulch last year and this year only did half my garden and then thinking it might be overheating my plants I didnt finish) Any ideas of what type this lavender is also? Thanks again!!!!

Digginlife's second pic looks like Curry.

@ Riceloft Pic#2 It bloomed already and is definitely lavender... just not sure which type

It could be fungal but cat/dog pee could have that effect. Is that possible?

I'd cut that bit out, stop watering, stop feeding (if you are, )watch for animals and hope for the best.

Thx for the ideas Flora.I do have a dog but my garden is fenced off.I havent fertilized at all. Im a dumb dumb .I have hydrangea and astilbe planted in the same garden that seems to get very wilted in the sun so I just watered my whole garden assuming they all need it I was worried with all the 90degree days we had the past couple of weeks and was watering my whole garden like crazy. Not to mention when I was watering I probably had the hose at the base of the plant. Thx for ur help
Any other ideas for Pic#1

Aha! I think we've found your problem. Astilbe is practically a bog plant. Hydrangea loves to be well hydrated (the clue's in the name). Lavender is the complete opposite. I'd move it somewhere else. Bear in mind it's natural habitat - the sun baked, rocky slopes of the Mediterranean. It needs sharp drainage, low humidity and is drought tolerant.
