You can transplant it if you wish but I find the larger borages don't transplant as well as the little seedlings. I personally would leave the two to sprawl (which borage does) together. It self-seeds and so you will ALWAYS have borage from now on!

The one on the right is about to flower anyway so it will go to seed soon.

I have six borage plants growing this year, and this is likewise my first time growing it. I have two very close together that are about three feet tall and they seem to be growing just fine despite the spacing issue. So I'd say unless they start having significant problems, you can just leave them the way they are!

Are you eating it or just enjoying the flowers?

I let the pollinators enjoy the flowers mostly. They are wonderful pollinator attractors to the vegetable garden.

I certainly enjoy the flowers too!!! I just hold two opposing petals gently - light tug, and pop that flower in my mouth.....very sweet!
