I grew that rose, own root, in Hillsborough County. It never did much and died after about three years. Your local rose society may be able to give you further information. Happy rose-ing to you.

Thank you. I ordered three other roses from Rose Petals Nursery near Gainesville yesterday. I love roses and have quite a few, some in containers, some in the ground. I love the old garden roses the best.

Bump..... did you ever get this rose to grow and do well in Palm Beach County? Is it truly shade tolerant?

Here in N. TX it s shade tolerant. More than any other rose that I have ever tried to grow.

FlowerLady, it's so good to hear from you again. I just went over and read some on our blog. Saw a post about buying too many plants, and I just wanted to say that you can never have too many flowers. Read back to the posts from 2008-20012, about how you were just fixing up the cottage. It brought back wonderful memories of our old GW gang and how we used to hang out here all the time back in the day. I wonder what happened to those people sometimes.
