You've already potted it up so enjoy it as long you can. Maybe you can even take cuttings from it. But the plant will eventually become not very productive and not worth the effort. Plant the new starts or seeds come spring for best results.

Thanks! It is in full bloom and I will just enjoy til it fades. Plants are easy to come by in the spring from my favorite nursery - I will plant lots next year. Those lavender blooms are beautiful!

The blossoms of cinnamon basil are wonderful - I like to plant up a few pots from seed in late May just for their colour and fragrance in late autumn. They make a beautiful addition to fall arrangements...

Let it go to seed and save some seeds, plus make some cuttings for the house. Basil grows easily from cuttings.
