Really? Weird... I would've never thought of that.

I asked my dad if he wanted me to find a way to get rid of the bats, and he said "Nah, they're good, they'll eat all the bugs." and I said "So will hummingbirds. Can I put more than one feeder up?" (getting all excited, of course), and he said a couple more, as long as I don't clutter the area.

the bats won't hurt them! Please don't evict them! The bats eat the night bugs and the hummers eat the day bugs. It's great to have both. Bats are so cute too! Yes, I'm serious.

Yes, bats are adorable, with their little squished faces ^_^

The only time I'd really worry about them, is if on the ground (which probably means rabies) or got into the house, because they might get hurt in their panic to get out.

You could try putting up an actual bat house somewhere nearby and perhaps the furry flyers would prefer that and your hummers could enjoy the awning in peace?

We have lots of bats. We like to lay on a blanket in our front yard at night and watch the stars. They fly all around us. (have no idea where they live). Has never been a problem with my hummers. Hummers are bedded down for the night 1-2 hours before the bats come out.

Millipuff - there's tons of trees, and a couple old/abandoned tool sheds that most of them stay in. Just that one group decided our porch was a nice place LOL

I'm gonna go buy sugar this weekend, and finally get to set up the feeders! Yay!
