Those are my very favorite beans, though I don't know how they will do in my current climate.

In New England they were very productive and happily gave me multiple pickings over a period of a month or so. And the Mexican Bean Beetles ate them last.

I expect that I'll soon learn how well they cope with heat and humidity.

BTW -- A friend who took care of my garden when I was visiting my mother one summer told me that they made excellent shell beans. I can't stand shell beans so I wouldn't know.

I grew them in Northern Indiana, years ago. They were tasty and pretty productive for me. But they were extremely susceptible to weavils, which would bore into the pods and damage the bean seeds, even while the pods were young and tender. Apparently this is not a wide spread problem. I've never seen nor heard of anyone else experiencing this problem.

At first they seemed a little slow but now beans seem to be appearing overnight. Keepers, for sure.
