We just had new maple cabinets and a Cambria quartz countertop installed. The cabinets are natural maple (a light golden hue) and the Cambria countertop combines rich browns and beiges with flecks of copper. Our appliances are all stainless steel. The light fan is being replaced by recessed lighting and the outlets are being moved to underneath the cabinets.

I'd love some suggestions as to what color/shapes/style of tiles we should use for the backsplash and what color paint would work best with all of it. (Not shown is the opposite side of the room, which is the dining side. I assume this would be painted the same color as the wall over the cabinets.) I'd like the room to be warm and welcoming. Thanks for your insights!
