Hello, everyone! After pretty much emptying the piggy bank which was allocated for new plant purchases last year, i thought this year i would try to propagate some of the things i've already planted to "fill in" some of the empty garden areas. Is this a good time of year to start that process? Can i just get a bit of rooting hormone and "dip and stick" the cuttings into a small pot of soil?

I realize my success rate will be mixed do to any number of variables, not the least of which is my inexperience. But i thought it might be a fun, inexpensive experiment ... and i have about a gazillion plastic nursery pots in the crawl space i might as well make use of ... :)
