I would put the pot under water for at least 24 hours and drown the worms. It won't kill the plant.
Maybe the wire worms are harmless and nothing needs to be done. I've never known them to be a problem with my Chamyaecyparis.

I have done it with other plants, but not False Cypress.
I doubt it will hurt them though.

Shake them out of the roots at planting time, along with the old potting soil.
