plant info app?

My old, old, OLD cell phone finally died and I knuckled under and bought an I-Phone. Still barely know how to dial it and get email.

However I am curious about one possible bonus: is there such a thing as a really useful gardening or plant info app? I don't know how many times I've been at a nursery or a plant sale and couldn't get enough reliable info from the plant tag or the plant people. I could do an internet search, but wondered if there was a decent app already out there.

I've purchased several, and, frankly, they've all been disappointing. Internet search is still far better, in my opinion.

Yes, what I've seen people doing with handhelds here is Googling. Only problem is the tiny display.

Yes. That's what I thought. I've bookmarked the Monrovia plant catalog on my I-phone. At least their site seems to give a lot of useful and--I assume--reliable info.

I swear that there is supposed to be a Sunset plant app--I've heard this from multiple people--but I can't find it.

If there is... oh, boy! I NEED it.
