My neighbor had the day off so we planned to go to the sale and showing of garden art at Swansons, but we made a wrong turn and ended up at Sky Nursery instead. It turned out that they had 40% off of nearly everything so we had a good time anyway. I hadn't been there in a long time and was excited by the number of Japanese maples. I bought an "Ao Shime No Uchi" just because I fell in love. I also got a "Linda" rhododendron just because I liked the leaves so much.

They also had mature bald cypress of the type that is only 6 feet tall and narrow - can't quite remember the name, but I am assuming they take a lot of water - does anybody know? I don't think I want anything that is too terribly thirsty even though a spring runs down my property. It was a lovely shade of green.
