Bright area, bring in before it gets too different outside from inside (night temperatures fall). Meanwhile, place pot on table or stand where bugs and slugs will not get into it as much as it it were on/near the soil. Expect an exodus when first brought back inside.

Thanks for the advice. It's currently on a second story deck so it should stay slug free. The slugs around here are pretty athletic, however, so I'll watch it.
