I am doing a garden in Madrona in Seattle. A big -- too big -- house under construction. They said we could begin working on the garden by October 1. A 50 by 100 foot lot. They have a design for the garden, which we will use as a guide -- plenty of bluestone paving going down -- I already have a mason lined up for this. Then we shall haul in some soil and lay down some plants. The owner has a friend who toys with garden design so we shall let her pick the plants -- why not?

I think we got it covered, but we need to put in a sprinkler system. It seems that a house that will sell for $1.2 million will probably want a sprinkler system --- so, who wants to come over to the place and give us an estimate?

I do most of my work in the LaConner area up in the Skagit Valley -- but the money is good down here in Seattle and it's also fun to be in town. I don't commute, but when I have a job down here, I stay at a friend's house in West Seattle.
