In "View from the north" the one on the right appears to either be June or Touch of Class.

In "View from the south" I'd say the one on the left looks like Patriot or Minuteman

The white centered one looks a bit like Eskimo Pie. Check out the Library pics and see if you agree.

I'm pretty sure a PAtriot or Minuteman was among those purchased. I'd been thinking it was the bigger one near the middle with the narrow edge, though I hadn't made any comparisons. All were bought at Home Depot or similar big box stores, because I would pass some on my way home and consistently went in to reward myself.

Like Steve_Mass says, that white centered one looks like Eskimo Pie to me too. It was one of the first ones I ever bought, and a real knockout.

Since none of the plants you named have white centers, Eskimo Pie is in the running for naming that particular plant. It sure does look like my young 2=year old plant.

Thanks! I can see myself buying something called Eskimo Pie, just based on the name, not to mention that it is a white or light centered one, which is my favorite type (I wonder how such preferences come about: why do I like that so much more than a white edged one?).

Anyone else know anything? What is the big one in the middle of the last shot, with a narrow white edge? Nothing here is more than 2 years old, and I am surprised at how big that one got. And, the smallish blue ones (not the Blue Cadet, the ones with a slightly wavy edge), like that in the forground of "view from the North"? I appreciate the help!

The white edged one is a bit difficult. Did it start out with yellow or cream edges in the Spring and turn white, or was it white from the beginning? Can you give us a leaf close up so that we can do a vein count? It could be fortunei Aureomarginata or fortunei Albomarginata. Could also be Patriot. Certainly it grows well for a two year old plant.

The Blue with the draped pointed leaves and slight ruffling looks to me like Komodo Dragon. It looks like it's getting a lot less sun than the others. Once again a vein count would help confirm the ID.

The one with narrow white edges is always pure white. No hint of yellow or cream in the spring.

I looked up both Patriot and Minuteman on the Hosta Library last night, and I think the wider edged one in the View from the South could be either one.

I've got 3 of the blue, and now that I think about it, the one in the view from the north probably gets little or no direct sun. The other two get some early morning sun.

I'll see if I can shoot some closeups of the leaves.

I wonder if the one with the narrow edge could be Francee.

Do you know where you purchased it?

Linnea, Take you pictures to the nursery you purchased them from. They may be your best bet for ID. I also have the same porblems with memory. Get confused what/where. ID'ing is really hard to do. too many look a likes.

They were all bought at big box stores, so no staff could tell me anything. There are no real nurseries around here anymore: all sold out to housing or retail developments. I think land is too expensive.

Sorry, I reread post and saw where purchased at. I got some of my best hostas at Lowes. I like to buy them around October. You can get some real deals. Like 50 cents for a 4 to 6 inch pot. First try to get all the names that they were selling. Look at some hosta nurseries on line. Just type in a hosta name and you'll see dozens of nurseries to choose from. Better than buying a Hosta Book. If not, so what. They look great anyway it grows. Wait till they are several years old. Post more pictures next year.

Linnea: I am so terrible identifying hosta from pictures. I have to get down on my hands and knees and measure mound and leaf sizes, petiole lengths, and count veins and turn leaves over and so forth. But when Melissa suggested Francee I had to go to my pictures of my Francee over the season. If you tagged the white edged one Francee you will never hear an arguement from me.
