Growing PCIs from seed is your best bet if you don't live on the weest coast. They are picky little plants and often can be difficult to grow outside their native climate. Certainly intercross your seedlings - the original parent's colors should pop up in the mix. Depending on how much of a hybrid the parent was you might get a wide range of colors.

One of the regulars at the iris forum is an expert PCI hybridizer in Australia. I am sure she will have more info for you.
