I understand that I can plant shallots now in October when I plant my garlic. But where do I purchase planting stock? Is there such a thing? Most of the shallots I see in the market have only the one "clove" or, at most, two cloves. It doesn't make sense (to me) to plant that, only to grow a single shallot like the one I bought.
