I just realized that it wasn't really proper to post that message on this forum.

Well, we are a bit of a community here and from time to time, non-gardening topics do come up for discussion, so while your post may not be exactly on topic, I personally don't consider it improper. In fact, it strikes me as a very seasonally appropriate and generous offer. It and my recently flooded basement and the need to start ridding myself of too many unnecessary belongings is a good motivator to do the same :-) (Xmas decos not damaged in flood fortunately - all stored in plastic tubs) I think I'll just bundle mine up and drop them off at the local charity thrift store! Thanks for the idea!

Well, thanks you two for not chastising me. I saw something on the news about the Vernonia Fire Department's Toy's & Joy program & they hooked me up with a local lady who's bringing in 200 Christmas trees, & is working with the Salvation Army to send in Christmas decorations, so I'm sending my lights & ornaments to her. Mission accomplished!
