Given that they came from Hawaii, my first thought would be to keep them indoors until you know they are hardy, and that they are really sedums. Many plants closely resemble Sedums but are not cold hardy at all. They will probably root and grow easily indoors, just don't overwater them. You could use a gro-light and leave it on 12-16 hours... or just put them in a sunny window. Then you can figure out what they are and decide what to do with them accordingly, or, if you can't figure out what they are, take a chance with them outdoors - but wait until spring to plant them so they have a shot at getting established before fall.

I did what you suggested. Yes, they could be succulents. But aren't they similar? I put them all in my window. Hope I didn't kill them when they were outside all last night. They look ok at this point tho.

If they don't turn to mush they did not freeze and will probably continue to live.
