Sounds like a fun NY Eve outing....as long as you dress for the weather :-) I've been but it's been a number of years now and I'm sure the display has been expanded. I'd allow a couple of hours for sure - could take more depending on the crowds and how close you want to view the displays. The gift shop is nothing to get excited about IMO and is pretty tiny.

A belated thank you and HNY to you, gardengal. The display was absolutely spectacular, well worth the $5 admission fee.

Wished I had gone with a gardening bud instead of my SO as had difficulties identifying some of the "plants". Oh, look, isn't that clever! That's a.. a.. you know, something that kinda looks like that yellow flower, the one in the side yard next to the bench?

Spot-on about the gift shop. Very small. Was hoping to score some garden-themed, 1/2 priced ornaments, but the pickings were slim and just the usual red/green/glitter.

Highly recommended for anyone who hasn't been. There is no charge for kiddies, so would be a budget-friendly family outing for next year.
