Are all the drawer fronts tall enough to be shaker style or is your manufacturer substituting flat panels for the ones that aren't tall enough

Overall I think A is probably a better style fit for shaker cabinets, but you don't have to use round knobs with those retro drawer pulls.

If you are truly torn between the two looks, you could combine the retro drawer pulls of A with the bar style of B mounted vertically for the cabinets. Of course this combo would be dependent on your exact kitchen layout and cabinet combo. Markup your cabinet elevations with the different shapes/styles and evaluate the overall look.

If you post pics of what your cabinets will look like, then we will be able to tell you. If you have Shaker cabinets, then use Shaker handles, whatever they look like! Is there something I'm missing? I'm sure your not saying to yourself, "---- me, Shaker handles, why didn't I think of that?"

I go for function. Important to consider your "COOKING" needs. Pretty comes later. I suggest to clients who have med to heavy usage that you consider what works if your hands are wet: what can you grab easily, and where do you "hang" that towel.....function first...

Roanoke Woodworking Inc. has a good point about the ends of the handle 'B' sticking out. They are also quite generic and 'safe' design choices.

The cabinets maker just needs to know the color I want. I'm looking for a color that's like between natural maple and medium maple any of u have suggestion of good colors?

Just a thought, you may like both the bin pull and a more traditional or just beefier bar pull with a 'burnished' finish if you have any black or dark elements in your room. Look for the pewter or 'silver' color with a black rubbed burnishing., sometimes referred to as 'antiqued' finish I did some white cabinets in a room with dark countertops and used this finish. It melded the contrasting materials/colors. Is much richer in appearance than just the paler, brushed stainless or pewter tone.

Dont forget to design a place(s) to hang your dish/hand towels and order that hardware at the same time.

Determine this: you have many cabinets, doors etc. Do you want a look that POPS or that is muted.
That is just your personality: I always encourage my clients to put themselves into the room and think about the "feeling" rather than the query of the "LOOK". I would be consistent. The gorgeous photo's in magazines don't look like that once you are actually USING the space. what will be on your counters? If your space is clean and pristine or always (like mine) stuffed with canisters, tools,knife rack...may be a guide as you process your decision.....Hope your having fun! XO

Keep in mind the width of your drawer fronts. I recommend using only one handle, and that it be centered, so that someone does not attempt to open a drawer using only 1 of the 2 handles placed at the far ends of the drawers (see picture A- below the cook top), thus eventually pulling the drawer off center (occurs more often if someone is standing to one side, or where children are involved). If you bake or cook frequently, will your hands be dirty when you want to open a drawer? If so, avoid "bin pulls" which can be a headache to clean! If your cabinets are well made, they will open easily with only 1 centered knob or pull.

I vote for the round knobs for the cabinet doors (from option 1) and the handle style (option B) for the drawers.
