Can you see a flash of white on his wings when he flies? sounds like a mockingbird.

I finally had time to go to the bird atlas and the bird I saw looks like a catbird. Catbird is a relative of mockingbird, so you nailed it, Helen. We used to have lots of mockingbirds on the property but not in the last 15 years or so. What I noticed about this bird is that she was definitely vocal, but I didn't see any white on her-- just the little brown cap on her head. I'll keep watching -- I only saw her once

Glenda has a nice picture on there and there are plenty of ideas. I am going to do something with my chives because of a picture I saw there.

Well, thank you, Ceresone. I heard and got a glimpse of my bird today, but not enough to check her out well. She's very vocal. I wish she would let me see her clearly again.
