Even better Infini! You do have a lot of space to have fun with. Have a look at my comments from the previous post and let me know your feedback. Your space has great potential. Color is needed but you have good beginnings.

Thank you, Amy! I replyed to your previous post earlier... I really like your approach and your taste. I would like to ask your advice - what wall color would you recommend for my living room? and if I consider to switch my furniture - what should I look at? What comes first - furniture or wall paint? My poor imagination doesn't let me see things before I Really see them and then decide if I like it or not :). Thank you for helping me!

You are very welcome and Thank You for the compliments! There really isnt any wrong approach but painting pre furniture filled room is much easier. I would also agree that as you add your pieces it becomes more clear as to what paint is needed. You can range from a daring red/orange accent wall where the fireplace is and keep your your existing paint to a fresh green or a carribean blue. Go out to World Market or if you dont have one a Pier 1 and find a few accessories wall art etc then pull a color thats common thread yet not already dominating the space. This way you can accumulate pieces and not hang them just lean them around to set your placements without commitment. As far as furniture I would add a bit of wood along with non patterned solid sofa and a non matching accent chair then you can have fun with multi colored and textured throw pillows.

Thank you Amy! I appreciate your help very much! I did had colorful dreams since yesterday! :) Can you please tell me where to find the rug from your very first post to me? For some reason I liked it and keep thinking of it :). Thanks again!

The rug can be found online companyc.com its from the Camel and Brown line. Really decent prices too. I will say if you are more hands on like me you can also often find excellent deals on similar rugs at Homegoods. Do you have a local store? They will have tons of great pieces for you. I can always count on them for the accents!

Hi! First of all, I love your space! I would start by painting the walls a light beige/grey color instead of the mustard color you have now. I would then replace the chandelier you have over your dining table, because it doesn't really fit the room, and it is hung way too high! Then, move your couch away from the wall and put the tree in between the sofa and the wall. Then, lower the painting you have hung on that wall. It is also too high. If you like color, I would buy some colorful patterned drapes to warm up your large room. If you intend to replace furniture, I like the ideas that Amy has. I you like leather, I would investigate a long leather chesterfield sofa for your room...it would look great! There are also some great rugs on overstock. Good luck!
