help!!! id rose???

I purchased this rose today for an archway I want to cover in a climbing rose. The tag stated it is "New Dawn" climbing rose. I have looked up this particular rose and the one I have looks nothing like the "New Dawn." Can anyone help me id this particular rose and is it a climber??? I certainly hope so..

Thanks in advance for any input!

Oh, rommy, that pic is way to small to see. Please post it again larger or provide a link to a larger one.

Sorry, that address didn't work. Just came up with an ad for Kodak Gallery. I wish I could help but I don't know what the problem could be.

This is the syntax to use:

    [type a left-side angle bracket]img src="http://www.address-to-the-pics.com/picture.jpg";[type a right-side angle bracket]

From what I can see it isn't New Dawn, which is much paler pink. Not sure what it is tho.

Disclaimer: Pink roses are the hardest roses in the world to ID with any certainty because there are literally THOUSANDS of them to chose from!

That said, if it is a climber it could be Soaring Flight, maybe. If you can get more pictures of it in different stages of bloom and of the plant, leaves and canes too that would be helpful.

Where did you purchase it? Is there any chance that they could help you ID it from their stock list? If you bought it at a big box store who supplied it? Often the suppliers will have web sites where you can see their list of available roses and that can narrow things down considerably.

That is a beauty!! I just scored a great climber at Aldi's!! It's a Georgetown Tea in a body bag. Not even for my zone 5 but I always try to push the zone thing anyway! I think it was about $5!

Thanks ginni... I will have to ck the Georgetown out..never heard of it; but then again I have never been too into the names of roses until the past few years..

Rommy, is the base of the petals below the pink white or yellow? It's hard to tell in the photos. If it is white take a look at a rose called Brilliant Pink Iceberg.

Did you get a chance to talk to the nursery people?
