As long as the crema marfil goes with the cabinets it should be fine. Have you thought about just using the granite as a full-height splash? With all the motion in it, it would look really nice carried up the wall. Make sure you installer knows how to match it properly though.

The Granite is already in. Attached is pict of Kitchen and the piece of Split Face the designer recommends. Is the split face too busy for the busy granite? It blends with the cabinets.

I don't think the split face crema is too busy - it looks nice actually.

For comparison you might want to look at a plain 1x2 or 2x4 split-face brick instead of the random. Or even 3x6 tumbled chiaro travertine - although that's pretty common these days.

But I think your designer has made a good choice - a nice change in texture from the granite, but a subtle color that blends with everything.

The only concern I have is behind the cooktop. The split-face will not be easy to clean.

I would see if you can get a nice rectangular piece from your granite remnants and frame it with chair rail like a painting, or even do the same thing with polished crema tiles.

I think it would work fine but I would also share the concern around the range area. Hopefully your designer can locate something for that area that blends.
