Hi Mrsmazz, We've found an issue that appears to happen only with iOS5 that we are investigating right now. We're working on a fix ASAP, but in the meantime, updating to iOS6 may solve the issue as well. Hope that helps!

Thanks for that, unfortunately iPad first generations can't handle ios6 and it's not available to them, bit of a shame really, it's only three years old! It was working ok before the update I'm happy to just have the previous version of your app available to iPad 1 users? Unfortunately I can't make the reverse happen at my end :)
    Thanks for your prompt response

@mrsmaz the AppStore doesn't provide a way to install earlier versions, so unfortunately we can't provide you with the previous version as you suggested. An update was already submitted to Apple that fixes this issue. I hope it will be live soon, we are trying to expedite it.

Hi there. Can you try deleting and reinstalling the app? Don't worry, all your saved items will be there when you log back in.

Thanks Emily, shall try that....now to find out where to delete....;-)

I have a 2nd gen iPad and the same thing is happening to me. Very annoying and there's no way to go back to the older version of houzz.

We are sorry for this issue that has managed to slip in. We are working to correct this, I hope by tomorrow there will be an update in the AppStore that fixes this. You are correct that there is no way to roll back to the previous version.

Updating to iOS 6.1.3 didn't help at all, sorry to say. Shall wait til tomorrow then. Thanks, Carol (Melanie's mother)

I am having the same problem, but have iOS 7. I can view some items for a few minutes, but then the program starts crashing when i try to open some newsletter items.

@cmbuchanan, make sure you are using the latest app versions. The last update was all about iOS 7 compatibility issues.

I wish I had not "updated" my Houzz app for my iPhone. I hate the new one. Wish I had an "undo." I just trashed the app from my phone. Too bad.

Received help from Houzz Support and am back to using the app and am pretty satisfied.

why is the Houzz app crashing on my new iPad?, this started yesterday when I updated the app……very annoying, no way to go back to where you were, goes to some random pic. of a bedroom with a white bed, then I have to start all over. As I'm scrolling sometimes just crashes and is gone. What I loved about Houzz was that it always went back to exactly where I left off even the next day. PLEASE FIX THIS……I ADORE HOUZZ but am getting so frustrated. We are building a house and I miss how it worked before, I wish I had never used the update…………….:(

Do not download the IOS 5 update to your ipad, it messes up every other app and really slows down response time. Many things won't even open. What a mess!!!!

I have an Original iPad. iOS 5.1.1. Device cannot accept iOS 6 or higher. Houzz now crashes very easily.

The "cover" photo and sequence has been the same for weeks instead of showing anything new. It is much more interesting to access Houzz from a browser if one wants to see different photos.

I can no longer add photos from my iPad to a discussion when using the App, even to a discussion I posted. I could never post photos from the iPad when using a browser.

I like the way the App is set up for finding "Your Houzz." I think the organization and tabs on the App are much easier to use than the way Houzz is set up when accessed from a browser.

Can you help those of us with "older" devices? I bought this Original iPad before any of the newer models were available. I cannot afford to buy another device.

I wonder how that wood medallion design got attached from my iPad photo section?!

@nasmijati app version 6.x is no longer supported on iOS 5. If you have upgraded to version 6 on an iOS 5 device, delete the app and reinstall, you should be getting v5.2.8 of the app when you reinstall. That's the latest supported version on iOS 5.
