So where do you plan to start, by replacing the furniture first or paint.The white walls are jarring on the eyes.

A few observations. You have a lot of large art pieces. The floor is classic beige tile with strong grid pattern formed by grout. The windows are designed to show off the view. What you need is an interior designer who can coordinate paint colors and new furniture choices. There are several paint colors of "art gallery" classics that could be used to showcase your artwork and still coordinate with your tile floors and wood kitchen cabinets. Try googling "art gallery paint colors" to see some options.

You new home looks lovely and has such spectacular views! I don't know that your wall colors should dictate your furniture selection. More likely I would select the furniture and rugs and then see how I felt about wall color. Your art collection will have a say in wall color also. You have fascinating pieces, some of which offer a lot of color and look fine against white, but would also look good against a warmer neutral wall.

The one good wall I see for an accent color is in photo 3 on the wall with the chest and the horse picture. You might take a color from the large colorful piece hanging on the other wall shown in that picture and paint the wall behind the chest that color. I'm thinking a brick red.

Get a paint chip of Navajo White and try it next to your floor tiles. It is a pinky beige.

We plan to start with furniture. We've tried paint chips but our natural light changes so often it's hard to choose a color. My wife wants to go with greens and I don't like the idea. I would tile your kitchen wall with a stone tile or similar to throw whites off. As for the living room, i would only use 1 artpiece and not 2 to create an off balance to bring the eye to the window. The wall divider to the kitchen can see a nice stone tile or strong wallpaper. Add a rug to the space. The wall with the hanging rug can see a nice off white color.

Wheres your tv? Also do you use a blind for the window? You have great recess lights and spot lights, make sure it is warm lights. Use standing lamp to light your darker area.

Hmmm. How about choosing a wide range of sky blue and mountain blue chips to try on all walls and check at different times of day? (You could start with the colors in the photos you have.) If you choose a blue color for a wall, be sure it is not too dark. A light sky blue seems to work in some rooms.

Another option would be the colors of the sky at sunrise. Do the Sandia Mountains turn Watermelon pink at sunrise where you are? One option for a very small accent wall is a salmony pink.

You might also go outside and pick up a handful of soil. Put it in a clear plastic bag and check that color of tan in your home, also on all walls and at different times of day.

The tv we're thinking is going to be wall mounted. I'm considering a solid piece for storage below, maybe using reclaimed wood. There should only be one art piece, I agree, but the cats love their "tree house" so much we can't take that away from the window, for now. Tipi, we don't get great sunsets, we get reflections, but the sky colors are truly magnificent at that time. Great idea!
